Exterior paint on the coast fails from the surface up, so the preparation matters more than the paint. We wash the surfaces, scrape and sand loose or failing paint, treat any bare wood, spot-prime, and caulk the joints that let water behind the cladding.
We paint wood, Hardie and other fibre-cement siding, vinyl, stucco, metal and brick, and we work by brush, roller or spray depending on the surface and the surroundings. Where we spray, everything nearby is masked first.
We watch the forecast and schedule around it. Paint applied onto a damp surface or in the wrong temperature will not last, so if the weather turns we would rather wait a day than hand you a finish that fails in two winters.

Questions about exterior painting
When is the best time of year to paint outside in Greater Vancouver?
Roughly April through October, when surfaces have time to dry and temperatures stay in range overnight. Spring and early autumn book up first, so getting an estimate in late winter usually gets you a better slot.
Do you repair rotten wood?
We handle small areas of rot and damaged trim or fascia boards as part of the preparation, and we will tell you plainly when something is beyond a paint-stage repair and needs a carpenter first.
